The District Manager at ARAR Group plays a pivotal role in overseeing operations and ensuring the highest standards of efficiency and compliance within their designated district. This position involves managing a team of 10 individuals, directing daily activities, and fostering an environment that supports employee growth and operational excellence. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Management and brings at least two years of relevant post-qualification experience to the role. This experience must encompass strong leadership, operational management, and expertise in hospital waste management and environmental compliance. In this role, the District Manager is responsible for enforcing biomedical waste disposal regulations, overseeing the segregation and treatment of infectious waste, and ensuring all practices align with environmental standards. They lead staff training and development initiatives to enhance team capabilities and promote effective conflict resolution. The District Manager also collaborates with various stakeholders to maintain compliance with local and national health and safety regulations, driving continuous improvement in waste management processes.
Responsibilities
 

  • Lead and manage a team of 10 staff members, providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure compliance with hospital waste management protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Oversee the segregation, collection, transportation, and disposal of biomedical waste in accordance with legal and safety standards.
  • Coordinate staff training programs focused on waste management, infectious waste treatment technologies, and environmental compliance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of infectious waste treatment technologies and recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to all policies related to conflict resolution, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with biomedical waste disposal procedures and prepare detailed reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to hospital waste management and environmental laws.
  • Collaborate with environmental agencies and hospital administration to address compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage resource allocation effectively to optimize operational efficiencies and control costs within the district.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among the team and across district operations.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance sustainability and reduce the environmental impact of waste management practices.
  • Ensure timely resolution of any conflicts within the team or with external partners, maintaining productive working relationships.
  • Prepare and present reports on district performance, compliance status, and strategic objectives to senior management.
