About the job

Sledge is an AI-native operating system for construction. It handles bidding, jobs, documents, and money for trade contractors and small general contractors. We're pre-launch and building a steady flow of short videos to show contractors what Sledge does.

The work

You'll make short-form videos each week: product clips built from screen recordings of Sledge, construction-themed explainers, and social cuts for TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Most pieces run 15 to 45 seconds and are vertical. You'll write the hook, on-screen text, and post copy yourself.

We'll give you an Envato Elements subscription for templates, music, and stock footage. The job is to make those templates look like Sledge, not like Envato.

What we need from you

• Strong in Adobe After Effects, especially editing and rebuilding templates: swapping type, recoloring, retiming, and cutting the floaty default motion. Our style is heavy and deliberate. Things snap and land.
• Comfortable with at least one other editor (Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut) for fast cuts and captions.
• Experience putting real software UI into video: device mockups, zoom and pan, cursor highlights.
• Short-form instincts: a hook in the first two seconds, burned-in captions, cuts that keep people watching.
• Can write plain English a contractor understands. Short sentences, no jargon.
• Uses AI as a tool, not a crutch. Rough cuts, transcription, and first drafts are fine. If a viewer can tell AI made it, it doesn't ship.
• Works from a short brief and comes back with a finished piece. We'll tell you what to make. You figure out how.

How it works

• $200 per month as an independent contractor.
• One weekly video call with the team to review the week's work and plan the next batch.
• Remote, on your own schedule outside that call.
