The Vice Principal will be responsible for providing visionary educational leadership and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and high-performing learning environment. This includes managing staff, enhancing curriculum delivery, and fostering strong community relationships

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the school development plan in consultation with middle management.
  • Inspire and lead staff, students, and parents toward a shared educational vision.
  • Lead recruitment and placement of teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Ensure fair workload distribution, professional conduct, and HR policy compliance.
  • Manage performance, support professional growth, and address underperformance.
  • Oversee curriculum implementation and improvement, including support for SEN and gifted students.
  • Monitor teaching standards, student progress, and resource availability.
  • Promote staff development through training, mentoring, and up-to-date educational practices.
  • Support newly appointed staff during induction and probation periods.
  • Oversee assessment, recording, reporting, and data-driven target setting.
  • Provide performance-related data as required.
  • Ensure a safe, nurturing environment and promote positive behavior standards.
  • Uphold discipline during school hours and activities on or off premises.
  • Maintain open communication with parents/carers on curriculum and student progress.
  • Build partnerships to support student achievement and personal growth.
  • Manage school budgets and resources responsibly.
  • Coordinate with Operations to ensure secure, well-maintained premises.
  • Appoint a suitable deputy during absences.
  • Engage in ongoing personal and professional development.
  • Liaise with Head of HR for better understanding and compliance of HR Policies and Procedures across the school under her/his jurisdiction. To assist in sourcing potential candidates from school locality.
  • Liaise with Head of Administration & Operations to ensure arrangements for the security, maintenance, development and effective supervision of the school buildings and of the school grounds.
  • Liaise with other departments, as and when required.

 

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Minimum of 16 years of education in any discipline from a recognized institution.
  • A professional teaching qualification, preferably B.Ed or M.Ed
  • At least 4-5 years of relevant experience in academic leadership.
  • Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), with a demonstrated ability to integrate it effectively into teaching and learning, will be considered an asset.
  • Additional Skills: Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
