Full job description

CronySoft is looking for a Technical Support Engineer who can provide high-quality support to our USA-based customers for our Backoffice and POS software. This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong, calm under pressure, and has excellent English communication.

What you will do

  • Provide support via calls, email, tickets, and screen-sharing.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to POS billing, returns, discounts, shift closing, payments, and peripherals.
  • Support Backoffice workflows like inventory, purchase, reporting, user access, and settings.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues by collecting logs, screenshots, and reproduction steps.
  • Escalate bugs to Development and QA with clear documentation and follow-up until closure.
  • Maintain proper notes and updates in the ticketing system and ensure SLA-based handling.
  • Handle escalations professionally and ensure a strong customer experience.

What we are looking for

  • Excellent English communication (spoken and written) is mandatory to clear the interview and handle USA customers.
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset with structured problem-solving.
  • Ability to explain technical steps to non-technical users clearly.
  • Comfortable working night shift and handling urgent customer issues.

Working knowledge required

  • POS concepts: billing, returns, voids, discounts, tax, shift closing, receipt reprint
  • Backoffice concepts: inventory receiving, stock adjustments, purchase workflows, sales and inventory reports
  • Basic technical skills: Windows troubleshooting, networking basics, remote tools
  • Ticket handling discipline: clear documentation, prioritization, follow-ups
  • SQL/basic database understanding is a plus (for validation and troubleshooting)

Preferred (Plus)

  • Experience in POS, retail, ERP, inventory, warehouse workflows, or SaaS support
  • Experience with ticketing tools like Zendesk, Freshdesk, Zoho, Jira, HelpScout (or similar)
