Strategic Finance Manager

We are hiring for one of the Venture, led by a serial US tech entrepreneur who has built and scaled businesses through to IPO and $1B+ in capital deployment, alongside experienced operators and investors.

We are hiring a high-potential Strategic Finance Manager based in Pakistan to work directly with the Founder/CEO and CFO, supporting our finance and M&A function from day one.

This is not a traditional FP&A role. This is a deal-oriented, modeling-and-analysis-heavy, high-ownership role designed for someone who wants to build a career in investing, M&A, and tech-enabled entrepreneurship.

Role Summary

You will serve as a core analytical engine for the business, supporting financial modeling, research, acquisition evaluation, diligence and strategic finance.

In the early days, this role will span “finance and more”, from building models to researching markets to shaping how we evaluate and execute deals.

You will be embedded from the outset as we move from research → first acquisition → scaled portfolio, with the opportunity to grow into a senior finance role within the platform.

What You’ll Work On

1. Financial Modeling (Core Focus)

• Build and own detailed, multi-driver financial models:
• Acquisition underwriting (LBO-style, returns, sensitivities)
• Unit economics and margin expansion opportunities
• Buy-and-build / roll-up strategies
• Stress-test assumptions and identify key value drivers
• Continuously refine models as strategy and conviction evolve

2. Deal Evaluation & M&A Support

• Analyze acquisition opportunities (teasers, CIMs, financials)
• Synthesize opportunities into clear, decision-oriented insights
• Support financial diligence and data room analysis
• Help prepare internal investment memos and IC materials

3. Strategic Finance & CFO Support

• Work directly with the CEO and CFO on:
• Capital structure and returns analysis
• Investor materials and reporting
• Financial planning and scenario analysis
• Help build the finance “system” from scratch (models, templates, processes)

4. Portfolio & Operational Finance (as we scale)

• Support performance tracking across acquired businesses
• Build KPI dashboards and reporting frameworks
• Identify cost, pricing, and operational improvement opportunities

5. Research & AI-Enabled Workflows

• Conduct industry and market research to inform investment strategy
• Use AI tools to accelerate:
• Data analysis
• Research synthesis
• Model building and iteration
• Help develop repeatable workflows for evaluating deals and sectors

Ideal Candidate Profile

Background

• 2-4 years of experience in:
• Investment banking, consulting, PE or other strong analytical finance roles
• CA and/or (min) CFA Level 2 (completed or candidate) preferred
• Interest and active ability to leverage AI-tools preferred
• High-performance environments (e.g., Consulting or IB/PE firms)

Skillset

• Advanced financial modeling (Excel / Google Sheets)
• Strong grasp of:
• Valuation, returns, and deal mechanics
• Financial statements and unit economics
• Ability to turn ambiguous inputs into structured analysis

Mindset

• Hungry, curious and fast-learning
• High ownership; operates like a builder, not an employee
• Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration
• Genuinely interested in:
• Acquisitions and deals
• Building from 0→1
• Working directly with senior decision-makers
