Our teams at Target Sourcing Services (TSS) are responsible for the global sourcing of Target’s Owned Brands including Apparel, Accessories, Footwear, Home, Hardlines and Essentials/Beauty. In addition to Sourcing and Product Development, TSS includes Quality, Supply Planning, Responsible Sourcing.
Position Overview:
As a Sourcing Manager, your primary functions will be to achieve financial plans by partnering with headquarter counterparts, cross functional teams, and business partners through product life cycle management for assigned categories and geographic markets.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and coach vendors/factories throughout product design and development to ensure risk assessment, risk resolution, and capacity planning are focused, vendor/factory Matrixes and planning are aligned with sourcing strategies, and new business opportunities are identified.
Conduct costing & negotiation with all components, and in country market intelligence analyzed to drive optimal results.
Manage E2E program and vendor/factory execution by collaborating with cross functional teams for any potential issue resolutions, ensure contingency plans are in place and ensure sourcing cycle is followed responsibly and ethically.
Support post shipment issues e.g., claim resolution and settlement.
Elevate matrix and onboard vendors/factories by vetting new vendors/factories to align with Target’s expectations
Establish and maintain vendor/factory relationship for continuous elevation of supply chain; drive optimal sourcing solutions to support brand/sourcing strategy.
Demonstrate commitment to Target Values, being inclusive and upholding an ethical culture for Target business and supply chain.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor/Master’s degree or equivalent experience (preferably in Textiles)
8 years (or more) of Sourcing and/or Merchandising experience
Knowledge of required products and sourcing operations
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders with diverse cultural background and to influence without authority
Fluent in English and local languages
Strong problem solving, negotiation, analytical, planning, and organizational skills
Strong data analysis, critical thinking, and strategic thought process
Adaptive, self-driven and self-motivated approach
Willing to travel local and internationally
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with well-known Buying / Liaison Offices from US and European retailers
Experience in Apparel would be preferred
