Software Engineer

Agay Barho is seeking a skilled Software Engineer with at least three years of experience to join our technology team. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that meet business needs. The successful candidate collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and efficient solutions are delivered on time. Emphasis is placed on writing clean, maintainable code, participating in agile processes, and continuously improving software development practices. The Software Engineer plays a key role in all phases of software development life cycle, including requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and support. While this position does not require managing a team, it requires strong individual contribution and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative environment. Continuous learning, problem-solving, and adherence to industry best practices are essential to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
 

• Write well-designed, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
• Participate actively in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, security, and performance.
• Maintain and enhance existing software applications by fixing bugs and implementing improvements.
• Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests to ensure software reliability.
• Use version control systems to manage and track changes in the codebase.
• Engage in continuous learning to keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects and technical issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure software documentation is created and maintained to facilitate future maintenance and upgrades.
