Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with over 6 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing scalable web and microservices-based applications. The ideal candidate will also have 2+ years of exposure to DevOps practices, containerization, and distributed messaging systems. Prior experience in the banking domain or financial systems will be a strong advantage.

Additionally, the ideal candidate should be familiar with AI-enabled development practices, leveraging tools such as GitHub Copilot or AI Agents to improve development productivity, code quality, and automation. Prior experience in the banking domain will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable web and microservices applications.
• Implement solutions using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices architecture.
• Develop and manage secure RESTful APIs.
• Build event-driven systems using Kafka messaging.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment automation.
• Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor and manage Kafka messaging servers and ensure reliability.
• Utilize AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI Agents) to: Accelerate code development, improve code quality and reduce defects.
• Assist in test case generation and documentation
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture planning.
• Ensure adherence to secure coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business, operations, and infrastructure teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Java development.
• Prior experience in banking or financial services domain is preferred alongwith familiarity with payment systems, digital banking, or G2P ecosystems.
• Strong expertise in Java (JDK 8+), Spring Boot & Spring Framework, Microservices Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with REST API design and development, Kafka (setup, management, and troubleshooting),RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• 2+ years of DevOps experience, including CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar), Docker containerization, Kubernetes orchestration.
• Experience with Logging & monitoring tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Strong understanding of Distributed systems, Security best practices (OAuth2, JWT)
• Experience with event-driven architecture patterns
• Exposure to T24 integrations or core banking systems
• Certification in Kubernetes / Cloud / Java
• Exposure to secure AI usage policies in regulated environments (e.g., banking)
• Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding assistants.
• Exposure to AI Agent-based development workflows for Code generation, Automated testing, documentation assistance
• Ability to integrate AI tools responsibly within secure enterprise environments.
• Understanding of AI limitations, governance, and data security considerations.
• Experience working with API gateways and service mesh.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar).
