Senior Accountant

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Finance Manager will lead the finance operations of the group and oversee monthly reporting, compliance, and financial planning. This role requires a qualified accountant who can work independently in a remote environment while meeting strict monthly deadlines and supporting senior leadership with financial insights.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Financial Operations & Reporting

Oversee and review month-end close processes for group companies

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements

Manage working capital and cash flow forecasting

Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial targets

Develop FP&A reports for management and Board review

Payroll & Payments

Approve supplier and operational payments

Oversee payroll processing and resolve payroll-related queries

Ensure accurate and timely salary disbursements

Compliance & Taxation

Review and oversee VAT returns

Prepare simple corporation tax returns

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards

Team Management & Support

Oversee and support junior finance staff

Review bookkeeping and accounting entries

Improve finance processes and controls

Leadership Support

Provide financial support to the CEO and CFO

Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting

Contribute to strategic decision-making through financial insights

Professional Qualification: Qualified or part-qualified accountant preferred

Experience: Prior experience in managing finance operations and overseeing staff

Industry Experience: Retail or multi-site operations experience preferred
