Plant Operations Specialist (Shifts)

About the job
Responsible for the filling of semi-finished lubricants into finished packs which includes both packaged products as well as drummed product. Responsible to maintain the filling and keep them available for product filling at all the times. Maintain Liaison with Filling Lead, Laboratory, Scheduler, Terminal Operator, HES specialist and O&D. Requires proactive approach to make the products available to meet the sales demand.

Safety of personnel and equipment

Starts the proceeding with daily tailgate with Filling & EPW workforce.
Ensure use of recommended PPE’s and AHAS
Use Safe work practice and Stop Work Authority
Have good knowledge about hierarchy of controls. Compliance with Work Instructions, JLAs, SOPs & all other applicable standards are fully complied.

Implement observations against NLIs, SLTs & Walkabouts and Safeguard assurance.

Be familiar with general / Hot & confined Space permitting requirement & its implementation. Ensure timely addressing of various maintenance issues giving priority to those related to OE.

Execution of Weekly Filling Schedule

Ensure availability of raw materials & semi-finished product and follow Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) guidelines & recommended practices.

Ensure production startup as per production kick off checklist & intermittent quality checking.

Inventory Reconciliation

Ensure that all the BoM are reconciled including semi-finished product’s quantity, cans, labels, caps & cartons.

Summary to be sent to relevant stakeholders in daily basis

Participate in monthly stock count for cross functional inventory count

Flushing Oil Management

Flushing must be carried out as per OES-705 guidelines.

Training of compatibility matrix to be provided to workers / supervisors to ensure compliance with Guidelines.

Spill Prevention

Ensure that the hoses are properly tested as per OES 402 & records are updated.

Ensure that hose Checklist is updated as per Standard requirement.

SAP / SMART/ Impact ERM, LMS & PowerBI dashboards other online Techniques

Familiarity with SAP / SMART / Impact Erm, LMS & other online techniques

Timely Punching of receipts & Other SAP activities.

Lead The Work Force By Example /arrange Required Training

Requires effective labor handling and ensure a suitable environment for production.

Maintenance of Filling machines

Ensure that preventive maintenance of all the filling machines is properly managed through CMMS & all the required equipment are enlisted their with their proper task schedules.

Mitigative maintenance through having ample inventory of commonly required Spare parts to be ensured timely. Review of the list of such parts to be done on monthly basis.

Calibration of Equipment’s

Ensure that all the gauging /weighing machines & hoses are properly calibrated. Records to be maintained properly.

Addressing Filling Stoppages / Minimizing Changeover Time

Conduct mitigative actions to minimize stoppages

Coordination with Blending, Lab, EPW, Maintenance & O&D

Maintain close Coordination with all the stake holders specially Blending, Lab, EPW, Maintenance & O&D to ensure that filling operation is not disturb.

Product Integrity /traceability

Check correctness of product and packaging.

Ensure that proper sampling techniques are used for product sampling as per OES 705.

Quality Assurance and OE Audits

Requires in depth knowledge about QA & OE documents. Ability to write work instructions and familiar with audit procedures.

Regularly maintain all the ISO and Chevron’s documentation.

Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.
