Job Summary

As a LibreSprite Expert, you will lead complete pixel art and animation projects while capturing your creative process in structured environments.

You will demonstrate how expert-level artists use sprite composition, animation timing, palette control, and layered workflows to produce studio-quality assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute full pixel art and animation projects from concept through final asset export
• Demonstrate real-time animation previews, refining motion and timing to professional standards
• Utilize onion skinning, advanced layer systems, and complex sprite compositions
• Create cohesive asset sets including sprite sheets, character animations, tilesets, UI elements, and retro-style illustrations
• Leverage tiled drawing modes, palette customization, and pixel-precise tools for detailed work
• Export optimized sprites and animations in required production formats
• Clearly articulate creative decisions and technical workflow steps in both written and verbal formats

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in LibreSprite with demonstrated production experience
• Strong portfolio showcasing pixel art, animation, and graphic design projects
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing end-to-end creative projects independently
• Deep understanding of sprite composition, animation principles, and pixel art styling
• Advanced knowledge of palette customization, tile creation, and animation frame management
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote, collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience documenting or teaching creative workflows for training or research purposes
• Familiarity with retro game art pipelines
• Experience contributing to open-source or collaborative art initiatives
