Videographer

Hamdard University is seeking a skilled Photographer / Videographer with at least three years of professional experience to join their media team. This role involves creating high-quality photographic and video content that supports the university's visual storytelling and promotional efforts. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong creativity, attention to detail, and proficiency in photography and videography, supported by a robust portfolio of previous work. Experience with photo and video editing software is essential to produce polished and compelling visual materials. The candidate preferably holds a Bachelors degree in Media, Film, Photography, or a related field and is familiar with lighting techniques, camera operations, and composition principles to enhance the impact of visual content. This position requires the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and creativity. The Photographer / Videographer will work closely with various departments at Hamdard University to craft visuals that align with the institutions branding and outreach goals. Though this role does not involve managing a team, strong communication skills and collaboration with colleagues are critical to ensure the successful completion of projects. The position demands adaptability and professionalism in diverse settings, whether capturing live events, conducting planned photo shoots, or recording interviews. The successful candidate must be prepared to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, apply technical expertise in editing software like Adobe Creative Suite, and continuously seek innovative methods to elevate the universitys visual presence.
Responsibilities
 

• Capture high-quality photographs and video footage for university events, promotional campaigns, and other institutional needs.
• Edit and enhance images and videos using professional software such as Adobe Creative Suite to deliver polished end products.
• Collaborate with marketing, communications, and event teams to understand project requirements and develop compelling visual content that supports organizational goals.
• Manage and operate camera equipment, lighting setups, and audio devices to achieve optimal visual quality in various settings and conditions.
• Maintain and organize a comprehensive archive of digital photos and videos for easy access and future use.
• Ensure all visual content adheres to university branding guidelines and maintains a consistent style and tone.
• Work within tight deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
• Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and innovative techniques to continuously improve photography and videography practices.
• Coordinate the scheduling of shoots and editing timelines to meet project milestones efficiently.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with equipment and software to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• Prepare visual content presentations and reports as needed to communicate progress and results to stakeholders.
• Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions to enhance visual storytelling and campaign effectiveness.
