Job Purpose
The Inventory Control Officer is responsible for ensuring 100% inventory accuracy by controlling all stock movements, monitoring inventory transactions in the ERP system, validating physical stock against system balances, investigating inventory variances, and implementing effective inventory control procedures. The role acts as the custodian of inventory integrity across Raw Materials, Packing Materials, Work-in-Process (WIP), Finished Goods, Spare Parts, Consumables, and Scrap.
Location: Bin Qasim Industrial Park (Port Qasim)
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Accuracy
- Ensure inventory accuracy of 98–100% across all warehouses.
- Verify every inventory transaction posted in ERP before day-end closing.
- Monitor inventory balances on a daily basis.
- Ensure no negative inventory exists in the ERP system.
- Reconcile system stock with physical stock regularly.
- Maintain inventory by warehouse, rack, bin, pallet, and location.
2. Physical Inventory Management
- Conduct Daily Cycle Counts.
- Conduct Weekly Random Stock Verification.
- Conduct Monthly Inventory Reconciliation.
- Coordinate Quarterly Inventory Audits.
- Coordinate Annual Physical Stock Count.

3. ERP Inventory Control
- Verify Goods Receipt Notes (GRN).
- Verify Material Issue Notes (MIN).
- Verify Material Return Notes.
- Verify Production Consumption Entries.
- Verify Production Receipts.
- Verify Stock Transfer Notes.
- Verify Adjustment Entries.
- Verify Scrap Entries.
- Verify Sales Dispatch Entries.
- Verify Customer Return Entries.
Ensure every transaction is supported by approved documentation.
4. Inventory Reconciliation
Daily reconciliation of
- ERP Stock
- Warehouse Physical Stock
- Production Consumption

Investigate:
- Shortages
- Excesses
- Wrong Posting
- Duplicate Transactions
- Unauthorized Adjustments
- System Errors
Prepare root cause analysis reports.
5. Production Inventory Control
Daily verification of
- Production Consumption
- Material Variance
- Bill of Material (BOM) Consumption
- Production Yield
- Waste Percentage
- Scrap Generation
Identify abnormal consumption.
7. Inventory Loss Prevention
Monitor
- Pilferage
- Theft
- Damage

Recommend preventive actions.
