Position Overview:

One of our clients in Aviation Industry is looking to hire talented professional as a Manager IT. He will be end-to-end responsible for leading, upgrading, and managing the company’s complete IT ecosystem encompassing hardware, software, network infrastructure, data security, and user support. Reporting directly to the COO, this individual will play a pivotal role in transitioning the IT function from a basic support setup into an agile, secure, and modern department.


 

Key Responsibilities:


 

IT Infrastructure & Hardware Management:

  • Oversee, maintain, and upgrade all hardware assets (servers, workstations, networking gear, firewalls, and peripheral devices) across all facilities.
  • Establish structured preventive maintenance schedules and lifecycle management for all IT equipment.
  • Manage local area networks (LAN/WAN), VPNs, Wi-Fi networks, and telecommunications systems to guarantee uninterrupted connectivity.

Software Systems & Enterprise Applications:

  • Manage end-to-end deployment, integration, and administration of enterprise software, domain controllers, cloud solutions, and databases.
  • Evaluate current operational software tools and recommend modern solutions to digitize manual processes across departments.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, software licensing, renewals, and compliance (e.g., Microsoft 365, aviation-specific software, ERP tools).

IT Strategy, Governance & Security:

  • Develop and enforce robust IT policies, data governance, access controls, and cyber-security protocols to safeguard sensitive corporate data.
  • Establish reliable system backup routines, disaster recovery strategies, and business continuity plans.
  • Design standard operating procedures (SOPs) and IT service-level agreements (SLAs) for quick incident resolution.

Helpdesk & User Support:

  • Deliver high-quality, responsive technical support to all internal users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
  • Conduct onboarding tech orientation for new hires and provide routine cyber-security/IT best practices training to staff.

Departmental Leadership & Budgeting:

  • Manage the IT operational budget, capital expenditures, and procurement processes for hardware/software in coordination with Procurement.
  • Serve as the strategic technical advisor to the COO, delivering regular status reports and technology roadmaps.

Qualifications & Core Competencies

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 6–9 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and systems administration, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Deep experience in network administration (Cisco/Fortinet firewalls, routers, switches), Active Directory, DNS, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/M365).
  • Practical knowledge of data backup solutions, endpoint security (Antivirus/EDR), and system virtualization.
  • Proven track record of managing vendor relationships and software implementation projects.

Leadership & Soft Skills:

  • Hands-on problem solver with an owner mindset capable of driving change in a developing IT setup.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and accountability when handling critical data.
