Role Description The Fundraising Manager will lead and implement fundraising strategies to support the institute’s programs and long-term development goals. This full-time, on-site role based in Karāchi includes identifying, cultivating, and stewarding donors, with a particular focus on major donors and philanthropic partnerships. Day-to-day responsibilities involve planning and executing fundraising campaigns, managing annual giving initiatives, preparing proposals and reports for donors, and maintaining accurate records of donor interactions. The Fundraising Manager will collaborate with leadership, academic departments, and relevant committees to prioritize funding needs, develop compelling cases for support, and ensure alignment with the institute’s mission. The role also includes organizing fundraising events, enhancing communication with supporters, and monitoring fundraising performance against targets.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience engaging and managing relationships with major donors and high-impact philanthropic partners.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear proposals, reports, and donor correspondence.
• Knowledge of philanthropy, charitable giving, and fundraising practices across diverse communities and networks.
• Experience with annual giving programs, donor databases, and basic fundraising metrics and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Proven ability to plan and execute fundraising campaigns and events, with attention to detail and timelines.
• Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling donor information and financial matters.
• Proficiency in standard office software; experience with fundraising or CRM software is an advantage.
• Prior experience in an educational or nonprofit environment, especially within the region, is beneficial.
