We are looking for a talented Financial Services Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong technical mindset, adept problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of financial operations and bookkeeping. Role Description

This is a full-time remote position for a Financial Services Engineer. The role involves managing financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance. You will work closely with directors and project managers to provide key insights into financial health and assist in business decision-making.


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and optimise financial operations using Workbench, Xero, and other relevant tools.
  • Operate and refine accounts payable, receivable, and general bookkeeping functions.
  • Assess daily payment schedules and handle payments processing.
  • Administer payroll, timesheets, superannuation, and CoInvest processing.
  • Manage trade accounts, applications, and company vehicle expenditures.
  • Prepare cashflow models for both general business operations and specific financial institutions.
  • Assist directors with monthly project cost reports and financial reviews.
  • Compile and analyse financial data for live and estimated construction projects.
  • Work with project managers to create cashflow forecasts, providing analysis for strategic decision-making.

  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial data.
  • Ability to work autonomously, with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask and effectively manage time.
  • Comfortable working Australian business hours.


 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
