EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Executive Officer specializing in Business Compliance. This role focuses on ensuring that the company adheres to all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies to maintain ethical standards and minimize business risks. The ideal candidate possesses strong skills in regulatory compliance, risk management, policy development, compliance training, and upholding ethics and integrity within the organization. This position requires a professional with at least two years of relevant experience and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across departments. In this role, the Executive Officer will conduct thorough assessments of business processes to identify compliance gaps and develop strategies to address them. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring changes in laws and regulations, providing compliance training to staff, and supporting the implementation of policies that safeguard the companys reputation and operational standards. The role is individual contributor-focused and does not involve team management but requires working closely with various stakeholders to foster a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.
Responsibilities
 

  • Monitor and ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop, review, and update compliance policies and procedures to reflect changes in laws and industry standards.
  • Design and deliver compliance training programs to enhance employee awareness and understanding of regulatory responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support compliance initiatives and facilitate smooth implementation of controls.
  • Investigate compliance breaches or irregularities and assist in developing action plans to resolve identified issues.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of compliance activities, reports, and communications.
  • Stay informed about evolving regulations and best practices in the insurance and financial services sectors.
  • Advise leadership on compliance risks and ethical considerations to support informed decision-making.
  • Promote a culture of ethics and integrity throughout the organization by providing guidance and support.
