Executive Director - Hospital

The Executive Director / Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational management of the not for profit hospital. The CEO ensures the delivery of high-quality, affordable (or free) healthcare services while maintaining financial sustainability, transparency, and compliance with applicable laws and donor expectations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement the hospital’s vision, mission, and long-term strategy
• Align hospital operations with charitable objectives and community needs
• Advise the Board on policy, planning, and growth opportunities

2. Operational Management

• Oversee day-to-day hospital operations, including medical, administrative, and support services
• Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care
• Monitor performance through KPIs and continuous improvement systems

3. Financial Stewardship

• Manage budgets, financial planning, and cost controls
• Ensure transparency and accountability in the use of donor funds
• Lead fundraising initiatives, donor relations, and grant management

4. Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations in Pakistan (e.g., provincial health authorities)
• Maintain accreditation standards and ethical practices
• Oversee risk management, legal compliance, and internal controls

5. Human Resource Leadership

• Recruit, develop, and retain qualified medical and administrative staff
• Foster a culture of compassion, accountability, and teamwork
• Oversee performance management and staff training programs

6. Community & Stakeholder Engagement

• Build relationships with donors, NGOs, government bodies, and the local community
• Represent the hospital in public forums and partnerships
• Promote awareness of hospital services and charitable initiatives

7. Fundraising & Development

• Develop sustainable funding strategies (donations, grants, endowments)
• Engage philanthropists, corporate sponsors, and international partners
• Ensure proper reporting and communication with donors.

QUALIFICATION: Doctor with Masters in Hospital Administration or equivalent qualifications.

EXPERIENCE: > 3 years.
