Electrician

Job Description

The Electrician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring and systems in commercial settings. This includes reading and following electrical diagrams, troubleshooting faults, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety standards. The role demands excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently in diverse environments, especially in commercial buildings such as banks. The Electrician will collaborate closely with other trades and project teams to complete work within established timelines and quality standards. Responsibilities
 

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and systems according to specifications and safety standards.
• Read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams and blueprints to plan installation and troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Perform commercial electrical wiring tasks, ensuring all connections are secure and compliant with building codes.
• Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using appropriate testing devices.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components through visual inspection and testing tools.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local and national safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely and efficient completion of electrical projects.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and repairs completed.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols to minimize risk and accidents on-site.
• Provide support during electrical system upgrades and installation of new equipment.
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to clarify requirements and provide updates on progress.
