Ebook Writer & Editor

Location: Karachi – Near Shahrah-e-Faisal

Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site, Night shift.

We are looking for an Ebook Writer & Editor to join our on-site content team in Karachi. The role primarily focuses on ebook writing, manuscript development, editing, proofreading, research, outlining, and other book-related content work.

Most of the work revolves around ebooks and publishing-related projects, with occasional involvement in website content, blogs, articles, landing pages, and other digital content.

We are open to candidates who may be relatively new to the industry, provided they have an exceptional command of the English language. The environment also offers an opportunity to learn directly from experienced industry professionals and develop practical expertise in ebook writing, editing, ghostwriting, and publishing-related content.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, outline, write, and develop ebooks and long-form manuscripts.
• Edit and proofread manuscripts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, flow, consistency, and readability.
• Develop and improve book outlines, chapter structures, story flow, and overall manuscript organization.
• Expand, rewrite, or refine existing manuscripts while maintaining the intended voice and direction.
• Revise content according to client feedback and editorial requirements.
• Conduct research for fiction, nonfiction, memoir, self-help, business, educational, and other ebook projects.
• Fact-check information and maintain accuracy where required.
• Review manuscripts for consistency in tone, style, characters, timelines, pacing, and structure.
• Work with raw notes, questionnaires, interviews, transcripts, recordings, and client-provided material to develop polished content.
• Assist with book descriptions, summaries, blurbs, author bios, back-cover copy, and other publishing-related content.
• Manage multiple projects and revisions while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
• Occasionally assist with website copy, blogs, articles, landing pages, and other digital content.

What We Are Looking For

The primary requirement for this role is an impeccable command of written English and strong editorial judgment.

There is no compromise on language quality.

Candidates must have:

• Excellent grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and vocabulary.
• Strong editing and proofreading skills along with comprehension skills.
• The ability to identify weak, unclear, awkward, or incorrect writing and improve it effectively.
• Strong attention to detail.
• The ability to understand new subjects quickly.
• Good research and information-synthesis skills.
• The ability to turn rough ideas, notes, transcripts, or client material into clear, well-structured content.
• The ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt writing style according to different projects.
• A willingness to learn, improve, and work across different genres and subject areas.

A specific degree is not a primary requirement. Relevant qualifications or experience are welcome, but strong language ability, editorial skills, and writing quality will be given greater importance.

Candidates with limited professional experience may also apply if their English grammar and editorial skills are exceptionally strong.
