Commercial Officer – Power
Location: Islamabad or Karachi, Pakistan
We are seeking a Commercial Officer to support the commercial operations of power generation and energy-related projects. The role involves coordinating commercial activities, managing procurement documentation, and ensuring efficient financial and contractual processes for power sector operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Support commercial and procurement activities related to power generation projects and energy assets.
• Assist in the preparation and processing of Letters of Credit (LC) and coordinate with finance teams for approvals and documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, and suppliers for equipment procurement and delivery schedules.
• Monitor supplier invoices, payment requests, and follow up with finance teams to ensure timely processing.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, purchase orders, and commercial documentation.
• Assist in preparing cash flow reports, cost tracking, and commercial reports for project management.
• Coordinate with internal teams including procurement, finance, and operations to ensure smooth commercial activities.
• Support contract administration and ensure compliance with commercial terms and procurement policies.
• Monitor inventory movements and supply coordination related to power plant operations where required.
Requirements:
• Preferably Degree in Commerce or equivalent.
• 3–7 years of experience in commercial, procurement, or supply chain roles within power generation, energy, or industrial sectors.
• Experience in contracts administration, procurement processes, and supplier management.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
