Job Summary

SALT Pakistan is seeking a trustworthy, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our Karachi branch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling customer transactions accurately, maintaining cash records, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring smooth front counter operations while supporting the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers professionally and provide excellent customer service.
• Process cash, debit/credit card, and digital payment transactions accurately.
• Issue receipts, invoices, and change to customers.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer and ensure proper cash balancing at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve payment-related concerns courteously.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of daily sales and transactions.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth order processing.
• Follow company cash handling procedures and financial controls.
• Report any cash shortages, discrepancies, or system issues immediately.
• Assist in promoting company offers, loyalty programs, and new menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, hygiene standards, and operational procedures.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Branch Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum Intermediate (FA/FSc/I.Com/ICS) qualification; Bachelor's degree will be an advantage.
• 1–2 years of cashier or retail/customer service experience, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Experience using POS systems is preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions

• Full-time position with rotational shifts.
• Six working days per week.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
