Associate Financial Reporting - JazzSure Insurance

At JazzSure Insurance, the Finance team is integral to ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and robust reporting standards across the organization. We are seeking an Associate – Financial Reporting to support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, manage general ledger reconciliations, assist with financial closing activities, and fulfill audit requirements. This role involves close collaboration with various Finance teams to maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records that drive informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
- General Ledger Reconciliations: Conduct GL reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and outstanding balances, and uphold the integrity of accounting records.
- Month-End & Year-End Close: Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including accounting adjustments, preparation of schedules, and documentation.
- Financial Statements & Management Reporting: Prepare supporting schedules, analyses, and detailed workings to facilitate financial statements and management reporting.
- Audit & Compliance Support: Provide necessary documentation, reconciliations, and audit schedules to support internal and external audits.
- Process Improvement & Stakeholder Coordination: Work collaboratively with Finance teams to resolve reporting issues and contribute to ongoing improvements in reporting and accounting procedures.

Required Qualifications

- Currently pursuing or holding professional accounting qualifications such as CA Inter, ACCA Finalist, ICMA, or equivalent.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting or accounting, preferably within insurance, financial services, or a corporate setting.
- Newly qualified ACCA professionals with relevant audit, accounting, or finance experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with ERP or accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
