Assistant Manager Finance (AP & Operations) - JazzSure Insurance

JazzSure Insurance is seeking an Assistant Manager Finance (AP & Operations) to oversee critical financial operations that ensure smooth payments, vendor management, and insurance claims processing. This role is based in Karachi and is integral to maintaining strong financial controls, accurate transaction processing, and effective collaboration with internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable activities, vendor reconciliations, claims payments, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and tax regulations, all while supporting month-end closing and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Accounts Payable Management: Handle the full cycle of Accounts Payable, including invoice verification, booking, obtaining approvals, and ensuring timely payments to vendors.
- Vendor Reconciliations & Payments: Perform regular reconciliations with vendors, resolve outstanding balances, and address any payment-related inquiries promptly.
- Claims Payments Processing: Review and process insurance claims payments, ensuring all necessary documentation and approvals are in place before disbursement.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Claims department and other internal teams to facilitate timely claims settlements and payment processing.
- Compliance & Reporting: Maintain adherence to company policies, approval matrices, and tax requirements, while supporting month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
- Process Improvement & Controls: Participate in initiatives aimed at automating processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and strengthening financial controls within the Finance function.

Required Qualifications

- Professional accounting qualification such as CA Finalist, CA, ACCA, or an equivalent certification.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Finance and Accounting, with hands-on expertise in Accounts Payable, vendor management, payments, and reconciliations.
- Familiarity with insurance claims accounting and payment processing is a strong advantage.
- Proficient in MS Excel and experienced with ERP or accounting software systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the capability to manage deadlines effectively.
