Job Overview:
Human Capital is hiring on behalf of its client in the FMCG industry for a dynamic and results-oriented Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Sales Accounts. This position is suited for professionals with strong client management capabilities and a solid grasp of accounts receivable and commercial processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring timely collections, and contributing to sales performance tracking and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management & Client Relations
- Manage customer accounts and act as the primary point of contact for all commercial queries.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships to drive retention, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities.
- Conduct regular client review meetings and present account performance insights and commercial proposals.
- Resolve client escalations and disputes in a professional and timely manner.
Accounts Receivable & Collections
- Oversee the full accounts receivable cycle including invoicing, collections, cash application, and reconciliation.
- Monitor AR aging and proactively follow up on overdue payments.
- Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes with relevant sales data and insights.
- Analyze sales trends, customer behavior, and market conditions to identify growth opportunities.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Supervise and mentor junior sales accounts staff, providing ongoing guidance and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with internal departments including Marketing, Finance, Taxation, and Operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in sales account management, commercial finance, or a similar client-facing role.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and manage key client relationships.
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, invoicing, and credit control processes.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with commercial contracts and basic legal terms is an advantage.
