Role Description This is a full-time, on-site News Anchor role based in Karachi. The News Anchor will present live and recorded segments focused on Pakistan’s stock market, delivering clear, concise, and accurate updates. Daily responsibilities include researching market developments, preparing scripts, coordinating with producers and reporters, and conducting live reporting from the studio. The News Anchor will interpret technical analysis and financial data for a general audience, conduct interviews with market experts, and ensure all broadcasts adhere to editorial standards. The role involves collaborating closely with the newsroom team, maintaining a professional on-air presence, and meeting tight deadlines throughout the trading day.

Qualifications

• Strong Reporting and News Writing skills to gather, verify, and present market-related information clearly.
• Experience in Broadcasting and Presenter roles, with a confident on-air presence and clear articulation.
• Background in Broadcast Journalism, including familiarity with newsroom workflows and editorial standards.
• Solid understanding of financial markets; knowledge of stock market dynamics and basic technical analysis is highly beneficial.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in en_US; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt quickly to breaking news.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
• Prior on-camera experience in news or financial media is a plus; strong professional ethics and attention to detail are essential.
