Job Summary

We are looking for a Data Engineer with 1–2 years of experience to join our team in Karachi. The ideal candidate should have hands-on knowledge of SQL, Python, PySpark, and Docker, along with familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP. The role involves developing and maintaining data pipelines, processing large datasets, and supporting scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
• Use Python and PySpark for data processing and transformation.
• Work with large datasets and ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Containerize applications and data workflows using Docker.
• Work with AWS or GCP for data storage, processing, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline and processing issues.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and other teams to support data requirements.
• Follow best practices for data security, performance, and scalability.
• Assist in improving and automating existing data workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or a related field.
• Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Good programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with PySpark.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.
• Basic understanding of AWS or GCP cloud services.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
