Accountant

Pakistan Airconditioning and Refrigeration seeks a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Accountant to support financial operations at its manufacturing factory in SITE and office located on Shaharah-e-Faisal. The ideal candidate will be a commerce graduate with at least 10 years of experience in accounting functions. This role requires expertise in operating computerized ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office to efficiently manage and maintain accurate financial records. The accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, tax compliance, and cost management related to imports and sales. The position involves preparing trial balances, financial statements, and cash flow reports while applying strong knowledge of sales tax, income tax, and import costing. The candidate will perform various accounting activities including account reconciliation, ledger management, and handling accounts payable and receivable. The role is designed for an individual contributor and does not include managing a team, focusing instead on delivering precise financial information critical to the companys operational success.
Responsibilities
 

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records including general ledgers, trial balances, and financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely processing and recording of transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations regularly to verify accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Use ERP software and Microsoft Office tools to record transactions, generate reports, and streamline accounting processes.
• Ensure compliance with sales tax, income tax laws, and regulations, and assist in preparing relevant tax filings.
• Calculate and analyze import costing to support pricing strategies and cost control.
• Prepare cash flow statements and monitor the companys financial position, liquidity, and operational cash management.
• Collaborate with internal departments to collect financial data and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Assist auditors during internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information while adhering to corporate policies and accounting standards.
• Continuously update knowledge on accounting rules, tax legislation, and ERP software capabilities to improve accuracy and efficiency.
