Web App Developer

Job Description

The Web App Developer will engage in the full development cycle including RESTful API integration, continuous integration and deployment using tools like GitLab CI, Azure and AWS tools. They will employ automated testing and debugging to maintain code quality, and implement secure coding practices to protect application data. The developer collaborates within an Agile development environment and is responsible for verifying that authentication and authorization frameworks are correctly integrated. Although this position does not involve managing a team, strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for working effectively within Fresh Shifts’ dynamic project teams.

Responsibilities
 

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications utilizing JavaScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js.
• Integrate RESTful APIs ensuring smooth communication between frontend and backend components.
• Apply UI/UX principles to design user-friendly, accessible, and responsive interfaces.
• Implement and uphold security best practices including input validation, authentication, and authorization frameworks to safeguard applications.
• Employ continuous integration and deployment tools such as GitLab CI, Docker containerization, and Kubernetes orchestration to automate and streamline releases.
• Write comprehensive tests and perform debugging to ensure high-quality, stable releases.
• Adopt Agile development methodologies by participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to secure coding standards and keep updated on emerging security threats and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and other developers to meet business requirements.
• Maintain version control using GitHub and enforce code quality through code reviews and adherence to best practices.
• Utilize Next.js dynamic routing and SPA routing techniques to enhance application navigation experience.
• Continuously update knowledge on new frameworks, libraries, and tools to improve development efficiency and product functionality.
