Role Description
This is a full-time, Karachi-based role reporting to the Director of Managed Services in Australia. You'll be the technical anchor of our Voice, Data & Networks team — designing, implementing and running enterprise network and security environments, while also leading and mentoring the engineers around you. It's a role with real depth: project delivery, operational escalation, and team leadership all in one.

🔧 What You'll Do
 

• Design, configure, troubleshoot and maintain network hardware and security infrastructure across multi-vendor enterprise environments
• Own and deliver the network/security workstreams of large-scale projects — from planning and configuration through to testing, documentation and operational handover
• Design, configure and troubleshoot VPN, SD-WAN and remote access technologies
• Configure and optimise QoS, MPLS, NetScaler and WAN optimisation / load-balancing solutions
• Monitor and maintain network performance, availability and service quality
• Implement and oversee technical change with full risk assessment, testing and rollback procedures
• Create and maintain solution designs, operational documentation, standards and network diagrams
• Provide day-to-day technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to technicians in the team
• Act as escalation point for complex incidents, working across internal teams, vendors and client stakeholders
   

✅ What You Bring
 

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a network, security or infrastructure engineering role
• Advanced knowledge of switching and routing across Cisco, Juniper and Ubiquiti environments
• Advanced firewall expertise — FortiGate, Cisco, Meraki, Juniper and Barracuda platforms
• Advanced wireless experience — Meraki, Aruba and Ubiquiti
• Strong VPN, SD-WAN and remote access design and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with FortiManager, FortiCloud, FortiAnalyzer and Cisco ASA/Security platforms
• Extensive knowledge of security threats, exploitation methods and prevention controls
• Demonstrated experience in large-scale project delivery (network/security workstreams)
• Strong L2/L3 troubleshooting across network, wireless, firewall, WAN and remote access
• Ability to mentor and lead technicians while maintaining hands-on technical delivery
• Strong written and verbal communication skills — you can document clearly and communicate well with clients and stakeholders
   

📜 Certifications
Relevant certifications are highly valued. We welcome candidates who hold or are working towards:
 

• CCNA, CCNP or CCNP Security
• Fortinet certifications — FortiManager, FortiCloud, FortiAnalyzer or FortiGate administration
• Sophos or equivalent firewall/security platform accreditation
• Juniper JNCIA-Junos or equivalent
• Any relevant vendor certification in routing, switching, wireless, firewall, SD-WAN or cloud-managed networking
