Sr. AI Engineer

Ezhire is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered solutions that directly impact our business operations and customer experience. This role involves strategic thinking, hands-on engineering, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that AI initiatives are practical, scalable, and aligned with our core objectives.

Job Description

• AI Strategy & Stakeholder Alignment
• Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to design AI strategies aligned with Ezhire’s business objectives.
• Translate high-level business needs into actionable AI project roadmaps.
• Present strategic AI proposals and ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• End-to-End AI Solution Development
• Design and implement AI solutions that solve real-world business challenges, prioritizing scalability, maintainability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Select and integrate appropriate models (traditional ML or LLMs) based on problem requirements.
• Maintain responsible AI principles (fairness, transparency, accountability) in all solutions.
• Research & Innovation
• Stay updated with emerging AI/ML technologies and assess their business applicability.
• Prototype and test cutting-edge AI solutions before production deployment.
• Recommend improvements to existing AI pipelines to increase productivity and accuracy.
• Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure successful delivery of AI initiatives.
• Document all AI systems, workflows, and integrations for easy maintenance and onboarding of future engineers.
• Mentor team members on AI tools, development practices, and deployment strategies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Python and AI, with hands-on experience building APIs (FastAPI or Flask)
• 2+ years of experience with LangChain / LangGraph / CrewAI for chatbot/agent development
• 2+ years’ Experience with vector stores (FAISS, Chroma, Pinecone or any other vdb) and RAG architectures
• Experience with transformers and LLMs (OpenAI, LLaMA, Mistral, etc.)
• Ability to build, test, and document clean, maintainable code
• Understanding of MLOps practices, including MLflow for tracking and deployments
• Experience with Docker, Git, and cloud-based or local deployment workflows

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science/ Software engineering/ Data science/ AI or any related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in AI, including Agentic AI, with strong expertise in Python and AI-driven projects.
• A curious, detail-oriented learner with the ability to communicate complex concepts in simple terms.
