We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Windows Installer Developer to join our remote team in Pakistan to enhance our software deployment capabilities.

Role Responsibilities

Design and implement Windows Installer packages using the WiX Toolset, MSI or similar
Manage multiple installation projects simultaneously while ensuring high quality.
Create custom installer solutions tailored to specific client needs.
Debug and troubleshoot issues related to software installations.
Conduct installation testing to ensure reliability and functionality.
Collaborate with developers and testers to gather requirements.
Optimize installer performance and reduce installation time.
Document the installation process for future reference and updates.
Maintain version control for installer packages and related documentation.
Stay updated on the latest installation technologies and trends.
Create and maintain automated scripts for installation tasks.
Provide technical support for installation-related queries.
Develop and deliver training materials on using the installer.
Ensure compliance with software licensing and installation best practices.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve overall software deployment processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of experience in Windows Installer development.
Strong proficiency with the WiX Toolset.
Experience with MSI packaging and deployment.
Proficient in scripting languages (PowerShell, Batch).
Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with debugging installation processes.
Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN).
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Knowledge of installation testing methodologies.
Experience with agile development processes.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks.
