Position Summary
The Manager – Corporate & Strategic Partnerships will lead NOWPDP’s corporate engagement, strategic partnerships and fundraising portfolio, with a primary focus on building high-value relationships that generate sustainable financial and non-financial support for the organization.
The role will be responsible for identifying and developing relationships with corporates, HNIs, institutional partners, foundations, development organizations and other strategic stakeholders. The position will lead the full partnership and fundraising cycle — from prospect identification and relationship building to opportunity development, proposal/solicitation, closure, stewardship and renewal.
The Manager will also oversee key fundraising streams, including corporate outreach, HNIs, institutional grants, international chapters and business development, while strengthening NOWPDP’s external relationship ecosystem and ensuring that partnerships translate into measurable organizational value.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate & Strategic Partnerships
Develop and execute a strategy for building and expanding NOWPDP’s corporate and strategic partner network.
Identify and engage senior decision-makers, corporate leaders, foundations, development partners, academic institutions, industry stakeholders and other key organizations.
Build long-term relationships with prospective and existing partners and identify opportunities for deeper engagement.
Develop partnership propositions aligned with NOWPDP’s programs, impact areas and organizational priorities.
Lead negotiations and partnership discussions and coordinate internal teams to develop appropriate proposals and engagement plans.
Build partnerships that generate financial and non-financial value, including funding, in-kind support, knowledge exchange, volunteering, advocacy, technical expertise and other resources.
Maintain and strengthen NOWPDP’s strategic partnerships repository, ensuring relationships, commitments, opportunities and follow-ups are systematically tracked.
2. Fundraising & Resource Mobilization
Lead the development and execution of annual fundraising and resource mobilization plans aligned with organizational targets.
Oversee the fundraising pipeline across corporate donors, HNIs, institutional funders, international chapters and other relevant sources.
Identify new funding opportunities and develop strategies to convert prospects into long-term supporters.
Drive achievement of fundraising targets through effective prospecting, relationship management, proposal development and donor engagement.
Monitor fundraising performance, pipeline movement, conversion and retention, providing regular updates to the GM – Development.
Strengthen fundraising systems, processes and internal coordination to improve efficiency and sustainability.
3. Corporate & HNI Engagement
Build and manage relationships with existing and prospective corporate donors, senior executives, HNIs and philanthropists.
Lead donor meetings, corporate presentations, site visits, proposals, pitches and other engagement opportunities.
Develop tailored engagement and solicitation strategies for high-value prospects.
Support the cultivation and closure of major gifts and strategic funding opportunities.
Ensure effective donor stewardship, including timely acknowledgements, impact reporting, renewals and ongoing engagement.
4. Institutional Grants & Funding Opportunities
Identify relevant institutional, foundation and development-sector funding opportunities.
Oversee the development and submission of high-quality proposals in coordination with relevant internal teams.
Ensure effective tracking of grant pipelines, deadlines, submissions and outcomes.
Coordinate with program and technical teams to translate NOWPDP’s work and impact into compelling funding propositions.
Support effective grant stewardship and renewal opportunities.
5. Business Development & Earned Income
Lead business development initiatives that contribute to NOWPDP’s financial sustainability and social impact.
Develop and execute strategies for expanding the market for NOWPDP’s textile products and wheelchairs.
Identify institutional, commercial and retail buyers and develop long-term business relationships.
Supervise the sales function, monitor sales performance and support achievement of revenue targets.
Explore new commercial and partnership opportunities that can generate sustainable earned income.
6. International Chapters
Coordinate with NOWPDP’s international chapters to align fundraising, outreach and engagement efforts with organizational priorities.
Serve as the focal point for communication, reporting, support and coordination with international chapters.
Identify opportunities to strengthen chapter engagement, fundraising and external visibility.
7. Donor & Partnership Systems
Ensure effective use and maintenance of NOWPDP’s donor and relationship management systems.
Maintain accurate records of prospects, donors, partners, opportunities, commitments and engagement history.
Establish clear systems for pipeline tracking, follow-ups, reporting and relationship management.
Use fundraising and partnership data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities for growth.
8. Events & External Engagement
Lead fundraising and donor engagement events, corporate engagements, site visits and other external-facing initiatives.
Develop opportunities for donors and partners to experience NOWPDP’s work and impact.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality and meaningful stakeholder experiences.
Represent NOWPDP professionally in relevant external forums, meetings and networking opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Communications or a related field.
Master’s degree or relevant professional qualification will be preferred.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in corporate partnerships, business development, fundraising, resource mobilization, institutional relations, donor engagement or a related field.
Demonstrated experience building and managing relationships with corporates, senior executives, HNIs, institutional funders or strategic partners.
Proven ability to develop partnerships and convert relationships into funding, revenue or other measurable organizational value.
Experience managing multiple external stakeholders and negotiating partnership opportunities.
Experience in the nonprofit, development, social impact or CSR sector will be an advantage.
