Logistics Operations Officer

Job Description

The Logistics Operations Officer will be responsible for seamless logistics operations, ensuring the smooth coordination of truck drivers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely updates and reporting. This role requires travel to ports when necessary and a proactive approach to managing vendor contracts and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate and coordinate regularly with truck drivers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any transportation issues.
• Onboard and maintain relationships with at least two vendors (20-foot and 40-foot containers) each month to ensure the availability of transportation resources.
• Provide daily or weekly operational updates to senior management regarding vendor status, truck availability, and shipment progress.
• Collect cheque receipt if necessary, ensuring proper documentation.
• Travel to ports to oversee operations, ensure the smooth loading/unloading of Containers, and address any concerns at the port.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers, vendors, Clients, and other departments through WhatsApp for quick issue resolution and updates.
• Ensure efficient problem-solving, managing unexpected delays or issues on the ground.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in logistics, operations, or vendor management.
• Strong communication skills and experience using WhatsApp for business operations.
• A personal bike is a must for mobility, especially for on-ground operational tasks.

Compensation and Benefits:

• PKR 28,000 – 32,000 per month
