Logistics / Export Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a competent and proactive Logistics and Export Officer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, managing export documentation, and coordinating transportation activities to ensure timely and efficient shipment of agricultural goods.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily warehouse operations including stock movement, loading/unloading, and inventory control.

Prepare, manage, and verify export documents such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and phytosanitary certificates.

Coordinate with drivers and transport companies to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods from warehouse to port or client locations.

Liaise with freight forwarders, customs clearing agents, and regulatory authorities to facilitate compliance and timely clearance of shipments.

Maintain accurate shipment and warehouse records in both physical and digital formats.

Monitor and report on stock levels, shipment schedules, and warehouse efficiency.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout all logistics activities.

Provide regular updates and reports to management on warehouse and shipment status.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, or export documentation, preferably in the agriculture or FMCG sector.

Good understanding of local and international export procedures and documentation.

Strong coordination and communication skills to handle transport and logistics operations effectively.

Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and basic ERP or inventory management systems.

Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Working Conditions:

Based at the project warehouse or logistics site; occasional visits to ports and other operational sites may be required.

Must be flexible with working hours during peak export or harvest seasons.
