Job Description

The Lab Manager / Lab In-Charge will oversee laboratory operations, ensuring accurate and reliable testing results, compliance with quality standards, and effective management of Food Microbiology and Food Chemistry laboratories. The role requires hands-on experience in laboratory management, ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, quality control, and technical team supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Food Microbiology and Food Chemistry laboratories.
• Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timely completion of laboratory testing and analysis.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures and laboratory standards.
• Manage ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation requirements and maintain compliance with applicable standards.
• Supervise, guide, and evaluate laboratory technicians and technical personnel.
• Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and verification of laboratory equipment.
• Maintain laboratory documentation, testing records, and quality management procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and laboratory procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve laboratory efficiency, testing processes, and quality performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• 3–5+ years of relevant experience in a food testing laboratory.
• Practical experience managing Food Microbiology and Food Chemistry laboratory operations.
• Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, quality control procedures, and laboratory quality management systems.
• Experience in supervising technical teams and ensuring compliance with laboratory standards.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
