Junior Software Developer

Hamdard Pakistan is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Developer to join its development team. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with 0 to 2 years of experience, including fresh graduates or final year students, who have a passion for software development and are eager to grow their skills. The successful candidate will assist in building, maintaining, and improving software applications while working closely under the guidance of senior developers. The role emphasizes learning industry best practices, writing clean and efficient code, and collaborating with a diverse team of designers, developers, and project managers. This position requires a foundational understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, databases like MySQL or SQL Server, and familiarity with software development lifecycle processes. The Junior Software Developer is responsible for supporting the design, development, and maintenance of various applications, contributing to code reviews, and integrating APIs and databases into projects. This role demands adherence to company coding standards and active participation in team meetings to ensure project alignment and quality. The ideal candidate will also have basic knowledge of programming languages such as PHP or Laravel, experience with frameworks like Laravel, React, or Angular, and an understanding of REST APIs. Familiarity with the Magento eCommerce platform is considered an advantage. This position does not involve managing a team but offers valuable opportunities for technical growth and hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
 

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications by writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with senior developers, designers, and project managers to understand project requirements and deliverables.
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality.
• Integrate REST APIs and databases such as MySQL or SQL Server to support backend functionality and data management.
• Follow established company coding standards, version control protocols, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
• Support debugging and troubleshooting activities to resolve software issues and optimize application performance.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, frameworks, and programming languages to enhance development skills.
• Communicate effectively within the team to coordinate tasks, status updates, and project challenges.
• Assist in testing applications to ensure functionality, security, and user experience meet company standards.
• Contribute ideas to improve existing software, workflows, and technology stack in alignment with business goals.
