Junior Engineer (Civil)

Job Description

Gondal Construction Company is seeking a motivated Junior Engineer (Civil) to join our team in Karachi. This role focuses on supporting the successful execution of civil building projects by applying solid engineering knowledge and practical site experience. The ideal candidate is familiar with AutoCAD, project management principles, site supervision, and quantity estimation. Fresh graduates with a keen interest in civil engineering and building works are encouraged to apply. This position requires strong organizational skills to oversee daily construction activities and ensure adherence to design specifications while maintaining high-quality standards. The Junior Engineer will work under Senior Project Engineer on site to supervise construction tasks and coordinate labor forces. The role requires constant communication with clients and subcontractors to monitor progress and resolve any issues promptly. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools also supports reporting and documentation duties critical to project management.

Responsibilities
 

• Supervise daily construction site work independently to ensure alignment with engineering plans and quality standards.
• Manage and coordinate labor and subcontractor activities to maintain project timelines and productivity.
• Use AutoCAD for interpreting and reviewing design drawings relevant to building works.
• Perform quantity estimation and assist in material procurement planning to optimize resource allocation.
• Communicate regularly with management to update project progress and address any construction-related concerns.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure their activities comply with contract requirements and design specifications.
• Prepare progress reports, site records, and documentation using Microsoft Office applications to support project tracking.
• Identify potential project risks or delays and propose practical solutions to maintain construction schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies on site to promote a secure working environment.
• Support senior engineers and management by providing accurate technical information and site feedback as necessary.
