IT OFFICER

Job Description

Vision Air International is seeking an experienced IT Officer to oversee and maintain our company's IT infrastructure and support systems. The ideal candidate holds a bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, with three to five years of relevant experience. This role involves managing a team of seventy personnel, ensuring seamless IT support, system maintenance, and network security across the organization. The IT Officer plays a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency through expert handling of hardware, software, email services, and networking components, backed by a solid command of English, both spoken and written. The IT Officer is responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting operating systems and applications. This position requires proactive management of IT systems, including backups, security protocols, and user account administration. The role also involves vendor coordination and contract management to swiftly resolve IT-related issues. Success in this role demands strong knowledge in Active Directory, Domain Controller, Exchange Server, Windows, MS Office, networking, hardware, and IT support, coupled with the ability to work both independently and as part of the team.
Responsibilities
 

• Provide efficient technical support for hardware, software, email, networking, and printer issues to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
• Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot various operating systems and software applications promptly and accurately.
• Maintain and monitor IT systems to uphold security standards, perform regular data backups, and manage user accounts reliably.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to manage contracts, procurement, and timely resolution of IT issues.
• Implement and manage network security measures to protect company data and infrastructure from unauthorized access or breaches.
• Administer Active Directory, Domain Controller, and Exchange Server environments to support organizational communication and user management.
• Oversee the installation and maintenance of network hardware and software components to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop and maintain documentation for IT systems, policies, procedures, and technical support guidelines.
• Manage data backup and recovery solutions, employing appropriate backup and recovery tools to minimize data loss risks.
• Lead and support the IT team of seventy personnel, fostering collaboration, training, and professional development.
• Assist in contract management and administration of document management systems to streamline IT vendor relationships.
• Diagnose and resolve IT equipment and software malfunctions promptly, reducing downtime.
• Work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align IT services with business needs.
