Role Description:

This role is ideal for someone passionate about western fashion, trend research, design development, and creating commercially viable collections while working closely with production and merchandising teams.

Responsibilities:

• Research global fashion trends, colors, fabrics, and silhouettes to develop unique and marketable designs aligned with Sowears’ brand identity.
• Create design concepts, mood boards, and seasonal collections that balance style, modesty, and functionality.
• Develop technical sketches and specifications for production (tech packs, garment detailing, trims).
• Work closely with the production and merchandising teams to ensure timely execution of collections.
• Select and source appropriate fabrics, embellishments, and trims.
• Oversee sample development and provide feedback on fitting, quality, and finishing.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to align product designs with seasonal campaigns.
• Keep updated with competitor offerings and consumer preferences to maintain brand competitiveness.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design (or equivalent).
• 1–2 years of prior experience as a Fashion Designer, preferably in women’s wear (modest or Western fashion is a plus).
• Strong sense of color, fabric, and silhouette selection.
• Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop).
• Knowledge of garment construction, pattern-making, and textile processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
