Full job description
The Data Entry Officer is responsible for accurately entering, updating, verifying, and maintaining organizational data in company systems and databases. The role ensures data integrity, confidentiality, and timely processing of information to support business operations and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Data Entry & Record Management
Enter and update data into company databases, software applications, and records management systems.
Verify data accuracy before inputting information into the system.
Review and correct errors, inconsistencies, and incomplete records.
Maintain electronic and physical records in an organized manner.
Ensure timely processing of data received from various departments.
Data Quality & Compliance
Perform regular checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and customer information.
Comply with company policies regarding data protection and information security.
Assist in data cleansing and validation exercises.
Reporting & Documentation
Generate routine reports as required by management.
Compile, organize, and maintain departmental records and documentation.
Support audits by providing required records and data when requested.
Coordination & Support
Coordinate with internal departments to obtain missing or incomplete information.
Respond to data-related queries and provide administrative support where required.
Assist in document filing, scanning, and record archiving activities.
Educational Requirements
Intermediate, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Certification in computer applications will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
1–3 years of relevant experience in data entry, administration, or record management.
Experience with ERP systems, CRM software, or database management tools will be preferred.
