Research and Strategy:

• Conduct thorough secondary research on global and local ed-tech practices and interventions in the K-12 space and propose evidence backed models that are viable in low-income contexts
• Synthesize secondary research to inform decision-making and program design

Program Design

• Support in designing tech-based education interventions, including identifying problems, stakeholders, defining user needs, and shaping program theory.
• Contribute to pilot design, including sampling frameworks, monitoring tools, and implementation processes.
• Assist in building or refining the Theory of Change (TOC), articulating assumptions, pathways, and intended outcomes.
• Develop structured documentation for new products or interventions, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational priorities.

Implementation & Testing

• Coordinate and support the roll-out of pilots, including training, communication with field teams, and initial troubleshooting.
• Facilitate the testing and iteration of prototypes or early-stage interventions including providing feedback and support after solution deployment
• Capture field insights and translate them into actionable improvements for product or program refinement.
• Work closely with data, curriculum, and tech teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Develop understanding of monitoring and evaluation tools and use them effectively to monitor project outcomes
• Regular field visits to monitor and evaluate projects
• Prepare weekly field updates and monthly field reports
• Evaluate project readiness for scale

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with internal teams (Curriculum, Training, Tech, Monitoring & Evaluation) to ensure interventions are coherent and feasible.
• Engage with external partners and solution providers to explore collaborations and learning opportunities.

Required Skills

• Strong research and analytical skills with demonstrated experience in literature review and synthesizing evidence.
• Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Exposure to monitoring, evaluation, or impact measurement frameworks (knowledge of RCTs is a plus).
• Excellent written communication, with the ability to synthesize information into quality decks.
• Strong operational and project management skills
• Comfort working in dynamic, iterative program development cycles.
• Curiosity and a growth mindset. Keen to explore new ideas, tools, and methods.
• Understanding of low-resource schooling contexts.
• Keen interest in understanding how language acquisition occurs

Education

Bachelor’s degree (Preferably in Social Sciences, Computer Sciences or Education)

Experience

2-3 years of relevant experience in education, ed-tech, research, instructional design, or related fields. Experience with ed-tech product management and familiarity with integrating technology solutions in low-resource school settings is preferred.
