Anti-Money Laundering Officer

Position Summary:

Kamel Pay is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented AML Analyst to strengthen its Compliance team. The AML Analyst will be responsible for identifying and mitigating money laundering and terrorist financing risks, ensuring that Kamel Pay’s operations align with UAE Central Bank regulations, and internal AML/CFT policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, familiarity with financial crime typologies, and the ability to work closely with internal departments and external regulators.

Key Responsibility:

· Transaction Monitoring & Review

· Monitor transactions to identify suspicious activity using the AML transaction monitoring system.

· Conduct in-depth investigations of alerts and prepare well-documented case files.

· Escalate suspicious activity to the CCO and assist in preparing Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs).

· Customer Due Diligence (CDD)

· Conduct periodic reviews of customer accounts to ensure ongoing compliance.

· Support onboarding with KYC verification and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for high-risk customers.

· Maintain accurate and updated customer risk profiles.

· Reporting & Record Keeping

· Assist the CCO in preparing regulatory reports for submission to the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) and Central Bank.

· Ensure proper documentation and retention of AML-related records as per regulatory requirements.

Qualification and Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field.

· Minimum of 2–4 years of AML/Compliance experience in fintech, banking, or financial services.

· CAMS, CFE, or other AML-related certification (preferred).

· Strong understanding of UAE AML/CFT regulations, FATF recommendations, and global best practices.

· Proficiency in using AML monitoring tools and case management systems.

· Excellent analytical, investigative, and communication skills.

· High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
