Accountant

Mushtaq & Sons is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with at least three years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining the general ledger. This role requires someone who can handle tax preparation and compliance while adhering to regulatory standards. Although this position does not involve managing a team, it demands strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to maintaining financial integrity. The Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting our company's financial operations by preparing accurate reports and ensuring all transactions are recorded timely and correctly. The role demands a thorough understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work independently to complete tasks efficiently. Attention to detail and the ability to detect discrepancies are essential, as is maintaining confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive financial data.
Responsibilities
 

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes accurately and timely.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Prepare, review, and submit tax returns in compliance with legal regulations.
• Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and governmental regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Identify and correct discrepancies in financial records and reports.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial and company information.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial controls and reporting.
• Continuously update knowledge of accounting standards and best practices.
